The Beginning
Affinitas Insurance Brokers was founded in 2002 during a period of significant change in the Philippine healthcare industry. Founder Peter Yap Esquieres recognized the growing need for independent advice, broader market access, and long-term client partnerships. These principles became the foundation of the company.

As the Philippine economy expanded, so did the need for sophisticated employee healthcare and insurance programs. Affinitas has supported organizations across technology, BPO, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, retail, professional services, and many other industries, helping employers build stronger employee benefits programs.

Expanding Beyond Insurance
In 2008, Affinitas established Affinity Health & Wellness Corporation, expanding into dental care, occupational health clinic management, healthcare manpower, and corporate vaccination programs. The same year, Affinitas became the first insurance broker in the Philippines to receive SUPERBRANDS recognition.
